Friends Reaching Out Giving Support (F.R.O.G.S.) was the brainchild of its founder, Mary Price.  Mary left her home in Indiana and arrived in Houston in 1980 on a bus that she gutted and packed with her belongings with her 11-year-old daughter.  Mary’s life was not without struggle and hardship, but she was determined to give her daughter a better life.  She opened her own business in 2000 and while she was successful in business, she was ever so grateful for those who had helped her along her journey.  Mary loved life, her family, friends and the Lord.

 

In 2010, Mary and other like-minded individuals started F.R.O.G.S. to give back to the community and to help others like Mary who needed a hand up during difficult times. The mission was to generate funds through fundraising to have on hand for individuals and families in need.

 

In March 2014, the organization received its 501(c)(3) status as a public charity organization.  The organization consists of an Executive Committee of Directors and other members holding positions of responsibility within the F.R.O.G.S. organization.  All directors and members of the organization are strictly on a volunteer basis and there are no paid positions.  Members consists of anyone with the desire to assist in helping to achieve the mission of the F.R.O.G.S. organization.
