WHAT WE HAVE DONE

F.R.O.G.S (Friends Reaching Out Giving Support) was started in 2010 by a group of community-minded individuals from the Greater Houston, Texas area, who wanted to help families that were having specific major medical challenges beyond their insurance coverage. Since then, we have expanded our efforts to include not only hardships befallen due to medical challenges, but also those who have had significant difficulties finding work, or meeting their financial obligations due to loss of employment or layoffs. Likewise, assistance may be offered for medical procedures or equipment not normally covered by other organizations or affiliations.

All assistance for recipients are proposed by current members of the F.R.O.G.S organization who are in good standing, have direct knowledge of the person/persons in need and the extent of the support needed. All commitments of the F.R.O.G.S organization regarding fund limits granted or fundraiser events are validated by a vote of the majority membership.

In March, 2014, the organization took a huge leap forward and received its’ IRS Tax Determination Letter as a 501(3) (c) charitable organization enabling us to do more in our community. The F.R.O.G.S organization consists of an Executive Committee of Directors and other members holding positions of responsibility. All Directors and members of our organization are strictly on a volunteer basis; there are no paid positions. Our members consist of anyone with the desire to assist in helping to achieve our mission of the F.R.O.G.S. organization, which means you can be part of us too!
